Make Your Wedding Flowers Work!

When going over floral plans with my clients, I am imagining a hundred different ways to design their florals during our discussions.  We inevitably consider lots of creative ways we can repurpose and reuse florals from one part of their venue to another.

If you are curious to know if it's possible, yes it is! In some cases, what makes up in savings for florals is then diverted to production and design time, labor or build so sometimes it may be cost-saving while other times it may not. However, it's worth talking to your florist about it because reusing gives your florals enables them to be enjoyed more than once during your event. We always outline the pros and cons and the level of effort so my clients can make the right decision for themselves.

Here are some ideas to make your wedding florals work double-duty:

  • Ceremony aisle arrangements to reception table arrangements
Round or rectangular, this is a relatively simple way to decorate your ceremony and your reception. Your floral designer can recommend the designs that would work best for both placements. Moving the arrangements should be discussed with your floral designer.
  • Bridal party bouquets to sweetheart or wedding party table
Your bridal and bridesmaids bouquets can double as arrangements for your reception by giving the stems a fresh snip and placing them in their own vases with fresh water.
  • Pew arrangements to chair arrangements
Reuse the pew arrangements for bridal party and bride & groom chair backs.
  • Ceremony decor to cocktail lounge/photo-op
With a change of furniture and props, you may be able to repurpose your large urns, floral pillars or even your arch as a part of a lounge setup or photowall for your guests to take photos during cocktail and reception.
